Moody planner
Project Name
Moody Planner
The Moody Planner explores the tension between structure and chaos—the constant negotiation between our desire to stay organized and the unpredictability of everyday life. Inspired by research into the sharp wit and observational humor of Mark Twain, the project embraces irony and sarcasm as an honest reflection of human behavior.
While planners are meant to impose order, this one intentionally makes room for imperfection: spilled coffee, overloaded schedules, seasonal chaos, and moments of disarray. Each month is expressed through collage-based compositions that shift between control and chaos, mirroring real life. A dark palette of black and medium grey sets a moody tone while allowing the imagery to take center stage.
The weekly layouts vary throughout the planner, introducing surprise and visual tension. This constant variation reinforces the core idea: organization is fluid, and chaos is often part of the plan.
